Thursday Nights are Pint Nights at Tricky Fish!

Ever wanted to learn the ins and outs of great tasting beer from the breweries themselves?

We love talking with our craft breweries about their beer because there is so much to be learned! Whether you want to learn more about our craft brews on tap – or you just love beer – you are going to love pint nights at Tricky Fish!

Beginning Thursday, May 31, we are officially naming Thursdays as Pint Nights at Tricky Fish! Each week, we’ll host a different craft brewery, sharing their insider secrets on what makes their beer uniquely their own. Tasting notes, new seasonal beer, and even swag – you’ll walk away with more than just a glass of beer.

So what breweries are coming?! Here’s the rundown on the schedule as it stands now:

May 31 – Nine Band Brewing Co.

From right here in North Texas, Nine Band Brewing hails from Allen, Texas. Nine Band Brewing is affectionately named for the nine banded armadillo, a common site here in the great state of Texas. Favorite brews include the Cactus Cat Kolsch, a German-style beer that is light and crispy and perfect for summer sippin’.

June 7 – Oak Highlands Brewery

A young brewery from Lake Highlands, you’ll love getting to taste their unique, eclectic menu of beer. Try beers such as Freaky Deaky, DFDub, Derelict, and more.

June 14 – 512 Brewing

512 Brewing touts the best IPA in Austin, and you’ll soon see why! They were the first in Austin to corner the IPA market and that precision continues today and carries over into their other brews as well.

June 15 – Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is unique and delicious, hailing from Alltech Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. in Kentucky. It’s the premier beer of bourbon country, aged in freshly decanted bourbon barrels for a flavor you’ve just got to try.

June 28 – Deep Ellum Brewing Co.

One of Dallas’ premier breweries – Deep Ellum – will be here and you won’t want to miss it! Each beer is craft brewed to taste original, unique, and delicious – no watered down, run-of-the-mill brews here.

Brewery Spotlight: Community Beer Company

Tricky Fish is all about the simple life and bringing a local flavor and charm to everything we do. A big part of that mission includes creating an atmosphere where you can try new craft brews and spirits, made right here in North Texas.

Community Beer Company is one of our craft brew favorites offered here at Tricky Fish, both because we love the beer and the mission behind it.

Beer with a Mission

Community was founded on the principle that any good, local business gives back and supports the other business and artisans in their area. It’s what builds communities and makes even big cities - like Dallas - feel small. Community’s motto is “Beer for the Greater Good” because being involved in the community, hosting events, supporting artists, and giving back to local charities is what it’s all about. Cheers to bringing people together with beer and fun, local events!

Speaking of events, Community has a taproom located in their brewery, just off of I-35E in the Dallas Design District. It’s a place to experience new beers, enjoy live music, and just be a part of your community. Taproom hours vary; check back here regularly for details.

Our Favorite Brews

Tricky Fish carries Mosaic IPA, Community Beer’s signature beer. Mosaic is named both for the diversity it takes to build community and for the particular hops used in creating this perfect beer. It’s hoppy and intense, but also mellowed by a malty backbone that balances the flavor. Flavors of citrus and toffee greet you with each sip, and you’ll love the intensity of the Mosaic hops.
